'The Year of Magical Thinking' Sydney Premiere

Hayden Panettiere Breaks Down, Receives Gretchen Wyler Award

Pint-sized Heroes star Hayden Panettiere broke down in tears on Saturday night, when she was awarded the Gretchen Wyler Award at the annual Genesis Awards. The award is given annually to a celebrity who brings awareness to animal causes. Hayden was presented with the award in recognition of her protest against the slaughter of dolphins in Japan last year. The audience - including Hayden's parents and boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia - was given a look at what Hayden did to win the award. The star was given a standing ovation by the audience as she took the stage. "As an actress, you always dream of getting awards like the Golden Globe award, but I never expected to get an award that is this special and important to me as this. There are people who dedicate their entire lives to preserving the environment and defending animals, they are so much more deserving of something like this," she said of her award. Go Hayden!! Talks for a 'Hills' Movie

Lauren Conrad has confirmed rumours that there have been talks to make MTV's hit reality show The Hills into a movie. "We have kind of talked about it," LC told Josh Horowitz of the MTV Movies Blog recently. "I think if they were going to do a film of ‘The Hills’ they would basically film it like we do the show and they would just edit it into a movie. It would be like a really long episode," she said of how a Hills movie would work. But you just have to love Horowitz's closing paragraph, describing what a possible Hills movie would be: 'Think of it. Spencer being an ass on a 30-foot high screen. French President Nicolas Sarkozy and his Italian model-turned-First Lady wife Carla Bruni-Sarkozy travelled to England for a State Visit to HM Queen Elizabeth II between March 26 and 28. The pair were greeted at the airport upon their arrival by the Prince of Wales and his wife, Camilla Duchess of Cornwall, before being taken to meet with the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. Among their visits during the State Visit were a meeting with British Parliament - including the obligatory visit to 10 Downing Street and British PM Gordon Brown -, a wreath-laying ceremony at the statue of Charles de Gaulle, and two state banquets at Windsor Castle. Carla was hailed with a style that has been called "part Jackie Kennedy, part Princess Diana", staying loyal to French fashion house Dior for the entire trip. The only sour point to Carla's wardrobe was the drab shades of grey she wore during the first day, and semi carried over into the second; and the fact that Sarko needed his ego to be in check, which meant the former model couldn't wear any shoes apart from frikkin flats! With evening wear too! They invented kitten heels for a reason Sarko!

'Hills' Premiere Gets 4.7 Million

The Hills season three bonus eps premiere got the highest ratings out of all the seasons, MTV announced Tuesday. An average of 4.7 million viewers tuned in to see Lauren Conrad burn an Alberta Ferretti gown with a curling iron while in Paris with buddy Whitney Port, Brody Jenner hook up with another chick, and Heidi Montag give Spencer Pratt a deserved kick up the ass. The premiere was the highest rated program across all of TV for viewers aged 12 to 34. An extra 1.8 million streams were recorded on The Hills MTV site by Tuesday.
